Unit 6 Projects

Final Platter

This is my final project for unit 6. I chose to make a chocolate covered strawberry, and my chocolate covered things. During the construction of this, it was definitely a trust in the process, but I ended up being really proud of it. One thing I noticed is that I thought I had put more than enough clear glaze on it, but when It came out of the kiln there were some splotches that aren't as shiny as the rest, and some parts of the chocolate colored part almost looks like it cracked. This picture is not my final result, its before I put the clear glaze on It.

Whimsiclal house

This is my whimsical house and I was pretty excited for it to be done and glazed, but it didn't dry the way I wanted it to, and it was getting really sloppy.  This took me a really long time because I couldn't get the roof of the house right and it took me  a few tries. But then I was going to glaze it a few classes ago  But I wasn't there, and I looked everywhere, I was really disappointed because I thought it had some potential.

Interesting thing with feet

This in my interesting vessel with feet, I choose to this because I felt like I could be creative and make something cute with it, This was pretty simple to make but I was having trouble on how to make the feet, but I did it this was by accident as I was destroying them. Overall I am very happy with it and I cant wait for it to be out of the kiln.

Organic shape

This I my organic shape, I know I could've done something more creative but I was in a rush because It was the last day with green ware. I plan On glazing it with either a dark blue and while glaze or a sea green.

I was unfortunately unable to complete the rest of my items. I think I took too long on my Platter and my whimsical house that I was not able to do the rest of my projects, I am so sorry and next year if I get into ceramics two I will be sure to do better with my time management.
